My journey didn’t start with a comfortable college degree; it started at the bottom, enlisting in the Marine Corps and living in the barracks.
Like many of you, I spent years living paycheck to paycheck, balancing the high demands of active duty with the constant pressure of a tight budget. I’ve walked in those boots for over two decades. I spent 11 years grinding through the enlisted ranks, learning the value of hard work and discipline before transitioning through the Warrant Officer and Limited Duty Officer ranks. I moved up because I knew I had more value to offer the team, but as my rank grew, so did the hours. I eventually realized that while my income was increasing, my time, the one thing I could never get back was being swallowed by the "rat race."
I knew there had to be a better way to grow my wealth without sacrificing every waking hour to a desk or a flight line. That search for freedom led me to real estate.
A Foundation Built on Experience
My investment path has been as much of a climb as my military career:
• The Early Days: Moving from that first "shit apartment" to base housing, where I realized the military was capturing all the equity I was helping build.
• The Pivot: Buying my first VA single-family home, where I discovered a passion for renovations and "value-add" investing.
• The Strategy: Leveraging the VA loan again for a second single family home, followed by my first VA multifamily duplex, where I mastered the art of "house hacking" to live for free while building equity.
The Mission Ahead
I’ve seen the path, and I know that small-scale investing is a long road. To accelerate toward true financial freedom, I’m scaling up. My next move involves a large multifamily house hack in San Diego using creative 2.5%–3.5% VA loan assumptions, followed by a campaign for 5-20 unit off-market deals, leveraging buyer terms to capitalize on great deals!
I’m not doing this alone. I’ve invested over $25k in education and partnered with some of the most successful real estate professionals in the industry to ensure every move is backed by experience and proven results.
